Recommended age period
The tactile mobiles come after Montessori visual mobiles. It is usually introduced around 4 months, when the baby starts to move more voluntarily.
Intended space
It is intended to be hung above the baby’s movement area.
Tip
When placing your baby under a mobile, make sure that the baby is fully awake so that he/she can focus and interact with the mobile.
How to introduce the activity to my child?
The Bell on Thread Mobile is introduced to the baby around 3 months. It is positioned above the baby’s play area to allow reaching and grasping.
At first the baby bats at the bell unintentionally. As the infant discovers that the bell jingles when he/she touches it, the child connects the motions to the sound they hear when they hit the bell.
The child then begins to learn the cause-and-effect relationship and more intentional and controlled movements happen to make the bell jingle.
What will my child learn?
The mobile gives a perfect reaction to your little one’s every move while stimulating their sense of touch, sight, and hearing.
In addition to experience with cause-and-effect, these serve as an aid in the development of hand-eye coordination, and visual tracking.
It also strengthens the muscles in the eyes, neck, arms, and core.
In addition, the baby will pull this ring towards herself and use it as a teether.
What is included?
A silver-colored bell suspended from rainbow patterned ball hanging from a thread to make it easier for the baby to recognize the bell.
What is it made of?
The rattle is handmade from organic cotton thread and a metallic bell.

Care instructions
Wooden toys are beautiful and durable. Toys made of natural materials bring your little one a little closer to the nature by nourishing the child’s senses.
Wood has natural anti-bacterial properties, so keeping them clean is simple and you can even get your kids involved in the process. Here are some tips that can come handy while taking care of the wooden toys –
- Wooden toys can be wiped with a dry cloth for daily maintenance and cleaning.
- No Soaking. Never submerge wooden toys in the water; to clean or otherwise. The wood can soak up the water which can gradually lead to cracks.
- Instead, a slightly damp cloth or sponge can be used to remove dirt or dust and then the toy should be air dried.
- While drying the toys, do not leave them in a direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause the colors to fade and long exposure to the sunlight and air might damage the wood.
- Every once in a while, you may want to moisturize wooden toys when it starts to look dry or dull. Coconut oil or olive oil can be applied sparingly with a washcloth. Then let it dry.
Note
- During its lifetime, a tree is subjected to many natural forces that cause variations in wood grain, color, knots, splits, and stains. These variations are not defects. They enhance the beauty of the wood and add to the characteristic of the handcrafted toys making each toy unique.
- As with any baby toy or accessory, please use only under adult supervision.
- Always inspect for damage prior to use.
