The Gobbi Mobile is introduced after the Octahedron Mobile in the visual mobile series. By this time, the baby’s visual sense has developed such that the baby can distinguish the shades and subtle variations in color. The mobile consists of five spheres in gradations of the same color – ranging from dark to light. The baby’s visual sense is at a key point of refinement, hence the gradation of colors to focus on.
Color | Blue, Green, Pink, Orange |

Line of vision
The mobile should be hung above the infant’s chest from a mobile hanger or ceiling hook, about 30cm distance from the child’s eyes.
Tip
When placing your baby under a mobile, make sure that the baby is fully awake so that he/she can focus and observe the mobile.
What will my child learn?
The baby’s visual sense is at a key point of refinement, hence the gradation of colors to focus on. This mobile captures the baby’s attention – so simple, yet so captivating for the baby!
This mobile helps the child work on their visual discrimination skills. The slight change in color is both intriguing and beautiful.
The spheres hang in a diagonal line so that the baby can not only identify and track the changes from one ball to the next, but also develop the coordination and strength in their eye muscles. This helps them adjust their focal length as they look from the closest ball to the farthest and back again.
The spheres gently move in the air, grabbing the attention of the child allowing the baby to track visual movements and to focus on objects.
It makes for a thoughtful developmental gift for your child, for expecting parents, a baby shower gift and as a nursery decoration.
What is included?
In the box, you’ll find, five crocheted spheres in gradations of the same color suspended from a wooden dowel.
What is it made of?
This beautiful mobile is handmade with organic cotton and Ivory wood.
Care instructions
Wooden toys are beautiful and durable. Toys made of natural materials bring your little one a little closer to the nature by nourishing the child’s senses.
Wood has natural anti-bacterial properties, so keeping them clean is simple and you can even get your kids involved in the process. Here are some tips that can come handy while taking care of the wooden toys –
- Wooden toys can be wiped with a dry cloth for daily maintenance and cleaning.
- No Soaking. Never put wooden toys in the water; to clean or otherwise. The wood can soak up the water which can gradually lead to cracks.
- Instead, a slightly damp cloth or sponge can be used to remove dirt or dust and then the toy should be air dried.
- While drying the toys, do not leave them in a direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause the colors to fade and long exposure to the sunlight and air might damage the wood.
- Every once in a while, you may want to moisturize wooden toys when it starts to look dry or dull. Coconut oil or olive oil can be applied sparingly with a washcloth. Then let it dry.

Note
- During its lifetime, a tree is subjected to many natural forces that cause variations in wood grain, color, knots, splits, and stains. These variations are not defects. They enhance the beauty of the wood and add to the characteristic of the handcrafted toys making each toy unique.
- As with any baby toy or accessory, please use only under adult supervision.
- Always inspect for damage prior to use.
